I’m a California Girl!
I love my state and I love the part of California that I call home – the San Fernando Valley.
You may recognize my name from the Los Angeles City elections last March when I ran for Los Angeles City Controller where I received nearly 48,000 votes.
I was born here in Los Angeles County and I was nicknamed “Suzy” by my older brother. I attended public school in Los Angeles.
I worked my way through business school by selling subscriptions to the L.A. Times, selling Avon and doing various jobs. Since then, I have worked in accounting and finance for more than 25 years. My experience includes a career as a Controller/Chief Financial Officer for private companies spanning many industries from manufacturing, distribution, and service companies to healthcare.
I currently own a business here in the San Fernando Valley.
I have a good perspective on what’s happened to our state because I was born and raised here. But whether you’ve lived here a few years ago or a lifetime, you can see the problems we face as a state.
I’m now running for California State Senate because frankly, most of our elected officials are not doing their job. They are not looking out for the best interests of taxpaying citizens of California. Instead they are working to benefit lobbyists, special interest groups, and sometimes themselves.
As a business owner, I know how hard it is to succeed in California. I want to make this state a business-friendly state again. We need to attract more business and sustain the ones already here. I want you to have the career and job of your dreams.
I’m not really any different from you or the folks next door. I’m not a politician – I’m just a concerned citizen, and now I’ve made it my goal to do something about the mismanagement and corruption in our local government.
You don’t have to move away from California for a better quality of life. We just need to elect leaders who will do their job!
Please show your support by joining my email list, volunteering and donating. If you know of someone who I can ask for support, let me know… your mayors, friends, city council, clergyman, relatives, neighbors, business people. WE are in this together. I want to help. I want to be your next Senator.
Please keep this in mind: You do not have to live in my district to support me, if you live in California, my votes and legislation will affect all of you. The more common sense, fair-minded people we have in Sacramento the better off we will all be.
