IAMED’s Belly Dance Photo Contest 2008

IAMED is excited to announce a photo contest for Belly Dancers!

We are looking for beautiful pictures of Belly Dancers / Middle Eastern Dancers. The images can be from live performances, studio sessions, color, black and white, plain backgrounds, fancy backgrounds, soloists, troupes, and any style. The only content requirement is that it be Belly Dance related and beautiful!

All submissions will be reviewed by IAMED staff, and the top 10 favorites will be chosen. These top picks will be posted on our website so the public can choose the winners with an online opinion poll. The winning photos will be used for future IAMED projects, including web design, print ads, and more! So if you have a wonderful picture that you want to share with the world, this is your opportunity. Enter your best picture and let it be seen! Winners will also receive free DVDs from the IAMED video library.

PHOTO FORMAT: please submit print-resolution photos (300 dpi or greater) in JPG or PNG format. The file size should not exceed 3MB.

SUBMISSIONS: send your lovely photo(s) to iamed@bellydance.org.

LIMITS: you may submit up to three photos of any soloist or dance company for consideration.

DEADLINE: the deadline for submissions is August 7, 2008.

PRIZES: in addition to some great publicity, the winners will also receive free DVDs! 1st place gets to choose any four DVDs; 2nd place gets to pick three DVDs; 3rd place gets two DVDs; and runners-up will each receive one free DVD of their choice!

RIGHTS & PERMISSIONS: all photos entered in the contest must be fully releasable for print and web.

The top photos will be viewable on the IAMED website in mid-September. Further details will be forthcoming. If you don’t have a photo to enter in the contest, please visit our site to vote for your favorite picture and support your fellow dancers and photographers! Thank you all… and good luck!
