Initially I found Leyla's style of teaching (hampered by the fact that English isn't her native tongue) a little distracting. However, once I got used to her soft voice, quaint grammer, and rather "zaftig" costuming, she really is an excellent teacher.
Leyla breaks down shimmies and explains them very carefully, allowing me to greatly improve upon the technique that I have learned in class. If you want to be the reigning "shimmy-queen" of your local community, get this DVD!
