Introductions and Concepts for Veil Dancing
Aziza introduces rhythms that lend themselves to veil dancing and discusses how to match your movements to the music.
Aziza explains how the fabric type, size, and shape of your veil will affect how it moves and shows how to dance with different kinds of veils.
Aziza demonstrates how to make your veil your partner when you dance, using concepts such as your veil is extension of your body, catching air, invisible shield, and "keeping your pencil on the paper."
Technique and Combinations
Aziza teaches many veil movements, clearly explaining and demonstrating the technique required to make your veil behave beautifully. She shows you how to use hand positions, arm patterns, weight changes, and body alignment to get your veil to do what you want it to do, and how to use the air and the space around you to get the most out of your veil.

Dolisha Jones: You gotta love Aziza! This video has some great combos that I haven't seen in any other video! A must have!
Jessica Reed: I loved this DVD. I'm quite familiar with veilwork, but I still got a lot out of this program. Some of the moves were new to me, and some I already knew. This DVD presented different variations on the ones I knew, and helped me polish some of them.
The program presents several veil moves with variations. Aziza stops the instruction periodically to put the movements she's just taught into a medium-length combination. That's very useful for cementing the movements, and getting the transitions into kinesthetic memory.
Aziza is a clear teacher with a very confident and sweet presence on screen. She's also a wonderful performer, and I enjoyed the performance at the end very much.
I didn't think the "concepts" section was as strong as it could have been. Aziza presents concepts, but didn't go into much detail (or demos) on how to implement them, how to know when you're NOT doing them, etc. That didn't bother me very much, though.
Dolisha Jones: Aziza shows many different veil tricks, techniques and combos that I never seen in any other veil video. If you're looking for new veil ideas, this is a must have!
